+lockitron, I want my key back and I’m breaking up with you!Anyone who knows me, knows that I love my toys. My dream is to one day control my entire home from a mobile device. I was totally psyched when you launched your self-starter campaign and was among the first to pre-order. I’m used to being an early-adopter and definitely understand the woes, but this time it’s gone too far.After my order was delayed for almost 1.5 yrs and charging my card at least 9 months early, you finally sent me a lockitron in August 2014. After spending 1 hour installing it on my door, it was freaking broken!You sent me another and I paid for a new deadbolt because it “would work better with the lockitron.” I really wanted to make it work.I installed the new lockitron and somehow managed to get part of it working if you consider spending 2 minutes pounding on my door each time to “wake up” the device to unlock my door. I even tried to ignore the massively hideous black object attached to my white door. When I asked why I received a black lockitron, you told  me that you would send a white faceplate. Four months later, I still have a hideous eye sore on my door.Well, I’m done with:… logging into the app each time we need to open the door.… having to pound on the door in order to wake the device.… Bluetooth NOT EVER working. … NFC not working either…… Having to change batteries every month requiring 4 brand new lithium ion batteries (not cheap).… Replacing batteries and having the unit LITERALLY self-destruct, taunt me with the Darth Vader anthem. So that’s it. We’re done. No more hideous blob on my door. No more standing outside waiting for lockitron open up.I know these are definitely first world problems, but I wish I had the $200 that I spent on the lockitron + new deadbolt back.
